39.20 traffic-shape

Use the traffic-shape Interface (Ethernet) Configuration mode command to
configure the egress port shaper. Use the no form of this command to disable the
shaper.
Syntax
committed-rate
traffic-shape
no traffic-shape
Parameters
committed-rate—Specifies the maximum average traffic rate (CIR) in kbits
per second (kbps). (Range: GE: 64kbps–maximum port speed
committed-burst—Specifies the maximum permitted excess burst size
(CBS) in bytes. (Range: 4096 - 16762902 bytes)
Default Configuration
The shaper is disabled.
Command Mode
Interface (Ethernet) Configuration mode
User Guidelines
The egress port shaper controls the traffic transmit rate (Tx rate) on a port.
Example
The following example sets a traffic shaper on gi 1 1 when the average traffic rate
exceeds 64 kbps or the normal burst size exceeds 4096 bytes.
