REAR BRAKE
Place the motorcycle on a l e vel surface, and support i t
upright.
Check the rear brake fluid reservoir level from the right side
cover i n spection window.
If the l e vel i s near the l o wer l e vel mark, remove the right side
cover (page 2-2), screws, cover, set plate, diaphragm and fill
the reservoir with DOT 3 or 4 brake fluid from a sealed con-
tainer to the upper level mark.
Refer to page 14-4 for brake fluid replacement/bleeding pro-
cedures.
Install the right side cover (page 2-2).

Check the brake pad for wear.
Replace the brake pads i f either pad is worn to the bottom of
wear l i mit groove.
Refer to page 14-6 for brake pad replacement.
