ALTERNATOR/STARTER CLUTCH
Remove the starter i d le gear.
Remove the woodruff key.
NOTE:
When remove the woodruff key, be careful not to damage
the key groove and crankshaft.
DISASSEMBLY
Check that the driven gear turns smoothly i n one direction
and l o cks up in the other direction.
Remove the starter driven gear from the flywheel while turn-
ing the driven gear counterclockwise.

FLYWHEEL
Remove the starter clutch socket bolts while holding the
flywheel with a flywheel holder.
Do not remove the clutch housing and one-way clutch unless
they are necessary to i n spect them.
Remove the clutch housing and one-way clutch from the fly-
wheel.
