CYLINDER/PISTON
Install the new piston pin clips.
CAUTION:
Always use new piston pin clips. Reinstalling used piston
pin clips may lead lo serious engine damage.
NOTE:
Set the piston pin clip i n the groove properly.
• Do not align the clip's end gap with the piston cut-out.

NOTE:
When cleaning the cylinder mating surface, place a shop
towel over the cylinder opening to prevent dust or dirt
enter the engine
Do not reuse the gasket, replace with new one.
Install the dowel pins and new gasket.
CAUTION:
Be careful not lo damage the pis/on rings and cylinder wall.
Route the cam chain through the cylinder and install the
cylinder over the piston while compressing the piston rings
with your fingers.
Insert the cam chain guide i n to cylinder and crankcase and
install i t
by
aligning the its bosses with the grooves i n the
cylinder securely.
Install the cylinder head (Section 7).
