5 Installation

5.2.2 Shield Clamping of Cables

The shield of the shield cable connected to the control unit and drive unit must be connected to the grounding plate to
stabilize operation while preventing malfunctioning due to noise.
The shield can be connected to the grounding plate with lead wires or clamp fittings. Refer to the following drawings to
treat the shield cable.

(1) Peel part of the cable sheath and expose the shield as shown in the drawing.
Press the exposed part against the grounding plate with the cable clamp fittings.
(2) If the cable is thin, clamp several together in a bunch.
(3) Use adequate force when tightening the cable so that the wire material is not damaged.
(4) Connect each grounding plate together and ground them at one point.
