Remove base cage −C− on right side
of underbody

Note
In order to unscrew the fastening nuts −7− from the spring strut mount, the vehicle must be standing
on its wheels.

Push the selector sleeves −9− on to the spring dome
support sections −C, D− .
Unscrew the fastening nuts −5− and the washer −6− from
the base cage −C− .
Unscrew the fastening nuts −5− and the washer −6− from
the base cage −C− .
Guide the base cage −C− out of the passenger
compartment.
Instructions
Unscrew the fastening nuts −7− and guide the spring dome support section
−D− out of the right spring strut mount.

Carry out a test drive after performing assembly work on the roll−over
bar/spring strut mount threaded parts on the body and then re−tighten the
fastening nuts (three per side) to the torque: 46 Nm (34 ftlb.). The fastening
nut −7− must always be replaced.
Unscrew the fastening nuts −7− and guide the spring dome support section
−E− out of the left spring strut mount.

Carry out a test drive after performing assembly work on the roll−over
bar/spring strut mount threaded parts on the body and then re−tighten the
fastening nuts (three per side) to the torque: 46 Nm (34 ftlb.). The fastening
nut −7− must always be replaced.
