5.5.22 Lamp Power Supply (LPS)

UV HAZARD! Always wear protective safety clothing and a face shield when performing
service with the safety shield removed and a lamp installed.
The LPS comes with the lamp igniter built in and is located at the rear of the projector, attached to the base
plate.

1. Open the lamp door. Refer to

2. Remove the safety shield. Refer to

3. Remove the lamp (if installed). Refer to
Lamp Replacement, on page
4. Remove the standby power supply. Refer to
5.5.19 Standby Power Supply, on page
5. Remove the lamp blower assembly. Refer to
5.5.18 Lamp Blower Assembly, on page
6. Using a 4mm hex key remove the five screws
securing the LPS to the projector base. Three
screws are located along the front edge of the
LPS (Figure 5-24), another in the back-left
corner and the front-right corner (not shown). NOTE: Close the lamp door to access the screws on the left-
side.
7. Using a #2 Phillips
(Figure 5-25).
