9. Remove the LEQD and attach it to the handle once the light engine is removed. For details, refer to
Light Engine Quick Disconnect (LEQD), on page
10. Using a 3mm hex key, loosen the three captive screws securing the light engine to the light tube.
11. Swing the light engine handle out and remove the light engine.
12. Cover the light engine with an electro-static protective cover.
13. Reverse the above steps to install the light engine.
14. Complete a full optical report, which includes:
• adjusting aperture shadows
• reshooting MCGD
• verifying TCGD correction
• cutting new screen files
• verifying brightness uniformity

5.5.30 Shutter Assembly

The shutter is attached to the light engine prism. It can be removed on its own, as outlined below, or with the
light engine. For additional details, refer to

1. Remove the top lid. Refer to

3. Using a 3mm hex key, remove the two screws securing the
light engine cover. Refer to Figure 5-42 Remove Light
Engine Cover, on page 5-30.
4. Remove the light dump. Refer to
5-30.
5. Cut the cable tie securing the shutter harness to the light
engine handle.
6. Using a #2 Phillips
shutter assembly to the light engine. (Figure 5-46)
7. To remove, angle the shuttle assembly up and out.
8. Reverse the above steps to install.
