Appendix A: Shutter Override
A.1 Shutter Manual Override
The following procedure must only be executed in an emergency situation where time is an issue. This
procedure outlines how to manually override the shutter when it remains partially open or closed.
When time permits this procedure should be followed up with actual replacement of the shutter
assembly. For details, refer to
1. Remove the lens from the lens mount. For details, refer to
2. Use your finger to manually move the shutter assembly up and down two to three times.
3. Verify shutter operation via the Douser Open/Close selection on the TPC.
4. If any attempt to correct the shutter movement via the TPC failed, manual override will be
required.
5. Remove AC power from the projector and power down.
6. Remove the top lid. Refer to

8. Disconnect the douser from the IMCB.
9. Manually move the shutter to either the open or close position (Figure A-1/C).
10. Replace the lens and reapply AC power to the projector.
