Zone Set Distribution

Expand a VSAN and select a zone set in the Logical Domains pane.
Step 1
You see the zone set configuration in the Information pane. The Active Zones tab is the default.
Click the Policies tab.
Step 2
You see the configured policies for the zone (see
Figure 30-25
Step 3
Set the Propagation column to fullZoneset from the drop-down menu.
Step 4
Click Apply Changes to propagate the full zone set.

Enabling a One-Time Distribution

You can perform a one-time distribution of inactive, unmodified zone sets throughout the fabric.
To propagate a one-time distribution of the full zone set using Fabric Manager, follow these steps:
Step 1
Choose Zone > Edit Local Full Zone Database.
You see the Edit Local Full Zone Database dialog box.
Step 2
Click the appropriate zone from the list in the left pane.
Step 3
Click Distribute to distribute the full zone set across the fabric.
This procedureonly distributes the full zone set information—it does not save the information to the
startup configuration. You must explicitly save the running configuration to the startup
configurationissue the to save the full zone set information to the startup configuration.
Note
The one-time distribution of the full zone set is supported in interop 2 and interop 3 modes—not in
interop 1 mode.
