interface
If you have purchased the integrated-unit version of Matrox 4Sight-II, you can
connect devices to the auxiliary I/O interface connector, located on the back panel
of the unit.
To connect low-voltage TTL (LVTTL) devices to the external auxiliary I/O
interface connector, you will need a custom cable with a DB-25 connector.
Pinout information for the auxiliary I/O connector can be found in Technical
reference. You can also refer to this appendix, for information on where the custom
connector can be obtained.
Interface non-LVTTL devices to the Matrox opto-coupling module. On
integrated-unit versions of Matrox 4Sight-II, this component, when purchased,
will be installed in place of the external auxiliary I/O connector.
Each pair of pins on the opto-coupling module act as + and - terminals of a switch,
and interface with an associated auxiliary I/O bit on Matrox 4Sight-II.
To interface your non-LVTTL device to the Matrox opto-coupling module:
1. Connect your device or devices to the socket block.
2. Tighten the screws on the socket-block, over the wires, to hold them in place.
