❖ Note that on a Matrox 4Sight-II unit in a multidrop network, internal resistor
termination is available exclusively for the receivers.
Because, as mentioned earlier in this section, the driver and receiver for the
Matrox 4Sight-II serial port are always enabled, the unit cannot be connected to
a typical RS-485 two-wire multidrop network shown below.
