Matrox Orion /Dual
for 4Sight-II
Matrox G450
graphics controller
Matrox Orion /Dual for 4Sight-II has the same capabilities as Matrox Orion
/Standard for 4Sight-II, but is equipped with a second decoder, supports an
additional 12 inputs for CVBS and 6 for Y/C video, and can acquire two video
streams simultaneously. Finally, the /Dual module features 2 Mbytes of SRAM
which is used as a temporary buffer. These additional features make Matrox Orion
/Dual for 4Sight-II an ideal solution for fast-channel switching and extensive video
surveillance applications.
Once analog video has been digitized by a Matrox Orion module for 4Sight-II,
signals are sent to the Matrox G450 graphics controller, which can adjust the
digitized video further:
• YUV video can be converted to BGR32.
• YUV video can be converted to one-band, 8-bit monochrome video.
In general therefore, incoming analog video can be converted to BGR32, YUV,
or 8-bit monochrome format, by way of the Matrox Orion modules for 4Sight-II,
and Matrox G450 graphics controller.
