Updating the Matrox 4Sight-II VGA BIOS

It is also possible to update the VGA BIOS, using another utility called Matrox
ProgBIOS.
The utility includes the following files:
File Name
progbios.exe
Vga4s2.bat
If you have purchased the Matrox 4Sight-II integrated unit, all of the necessary
files can be found in the \BIOS directory of the hard disk. The partition on which
the \BIOS directory is stored varies from one operating system to another.
If you have purchased the Matrox 4Sight-II motherboard, and are supplying your
own hard disk, you must copy all the files found in the \BIOS directory of the
Matrox 4Sight-II System Drivers and Utilities CD into a \BIOS directory on the
hard disk, to run Matrox ProgBIOS. For some operating systems, the contents of
the \BIOS directory can be included directly in the configuration you build for
your operating system.
❖ Note however, if you had previously updated your computer BIOS using Phoenix
Phlash, the relevant files should already be present in the hard disk. This is because
when updating the computer BIOS, you had to copy all of the files from the \BIOS
directory of the Matrox 4Sight-II System Drivers and Utilities CD to the \BIOS
directory of your unit. Included in the \BIOS directory were files relevant to
updating the VGA BIOS.
