126 Appendix B: BIOS reference

Boot menu

This section describes all the items of the Boot menu. Refer to the section entitled
The Legend bar for navigation guidelines.
• QuickBoot Mode:
This item allows you to enable or disable QuickBoot mode. In this mode, the
BIOS skips certain POST tests at startup, provided no errors have occurred during

the previous boot
Options:
- Enabled (default)
- Disabled
• SETUP prompt:
This item allows you to enable or disable the display of the "Press <F2> to enter
SETUP" message during POST.
Options:
- Enabled (default)
- Disabled
• POST Errors:
This item allows you to enable or disable the display of error messages during
POST.
By selecting Enabled, any recoverable error occurring during POST will cause
Matrox 4Sight-II to pause the boot and display an error message. You will then
be prompted to either enter the SETUP program so that you can attempt to rectify
