Input lookup tables
The YUV-to-RGB color space converter converts YUV video to RGB. Similarly,
the RGB-to-YUV color space converter converts RGB video to YUV. You can
"activate" any of the color-space-converters if your application requires it.
The equations for the video conversions are as follows:
Color space converter
YUV-to-RGB
RGB-to-YUV
The pixel converters integrate six 256 x 8-bit input lookup tables (LUTs), allowing
independent re-mapping of each 8-bit R, G, and B input stream. Use the
MIL/MIL-Lite MdigLut() function to program LUTs.

Opto-isolated trigger

The capture control of Matrox Orion /RGB for 4Sight-II also accepts external
trigger inputs, which allow image acquisition to be synchronized to external
events. The trigger signals pass through an opto-coupler, a device that protects the
board from outside surges.

User bits

Matrox Orion /RGB for 4Sight-II also supports four LVTTL user bits through
the "Video in" connector: two input and two output.

Equations
• R = Y + 1.4017 V
• G = Y - 0.3437 U - 0.7142 V
• B = Y + 1.7722 U
• Y = 0.299 R + 0.587 G + 0.114 B
• U = -0.168 R - 0.327 G + 0.495 B + 128
• V = 0.497 R - 0.417 G - 0.081 B + 128
