Low-pass filter
Analog R, G, and B signals pass through a fourth-order Butterworth filter with a
cutoff frequency of 7 MHz.
Gain
Although an AGC is present in the decoder, to automatically set the gain for video
in NTSC and PAL formats, you must set the gain manually for analog R, G, and
B video signals that enter the A/D converter.
When grabbing RGB video, use the MdigControl() function with
M_GRAB_INPUT_GAIN
The supported gain factors are as follows:
Input video signal
amplitude (excluding sync)
0.0 V up to 0.5 V
0.5 V up to 0.7 V
0.7 V up to 1.0 V
1.0 V up to 2.0 V
ADCs
In addition to a multi-standard video decoder, used to convert analog video in
NTSC and PAL formats to digitized video, three A/D converters (ADCs) convert
component RGB video to digitized video in BGR32 packed format.
Although the A/D converters are 10-bit digitizers, only the 8 most-significant bits
are used.
The sampling rate of the ADCs depend on the video format used:
480 active lines/frame, 30 frames/sec. (similar
to NTSC resolution and frame rate)
576 active lines/frame, 25 frames/sec. (similar
to PAL resolution and frame rate)
