13) Inspection of Spark Plugs

Remove the plug caps 1, then remove the spark plugs 2.

2. Use a spark plug cleaner or wire brush to clean the spark
plug electrodes 3. Replace if necessary.
3. Check the electrode for any corrosion or excessive buildup
of carbon, and the washer 4 for any damage. Replace if
necessary.
Check the gap a of the spark plug. Replace if it is

Spark Plug Gap a: Standard
0.8 - 0.9 mm (0.031 - 0.035 in)
Functional Limit:
1.2 mm (0.047 in)
Specified Spark Plug:
DCPR6E [NGK]
5. Install the spark plug, tighten it fully by hand, then use a
plug wrench to further tighten it to the specified torque.
Spark Plugs:
18 N·m (13 lb·ft) [1.8 kgf·m]
