54) Installation of Recoil Starter
Assembly is performed in the reverse order of
disassembly, but the following points should be
noted.
face the starter spring outer edge hook to the right and
set it into the peripheral cut of the starter case.

tighten the screw to the specified torque.
Starter Shaft Screw:
6 N · m (4 lb · ft) [0.6 kgf · m]
reel 4 to 5 times in the direction in which the reel rotates
when pulling out the rope (left rotation).
perform a shift operation to check that the starter is
locked in a position other than neutral (N).
