Measure the cam height. Replace if less than the specified
value.

Measure the camshaft runout. Replace if greater than the
specified value.
Camshaft Runout Limit:
0.05 mm (0.0020 in)
Measure the camshaft journal outer diameters b and c.

Replace the camshaft if less than the specified value.
Camshaft Outer Diameter (pulley side) b:

17.925 - 17.940 mm (0.7057 - 0.7063 in)
Camshaft Outer Diameter (oil pump side) c:
Standard Value
15.925 - 15.940 mm (0.6270 - 0.6276 in)
Functional Limit

clearances. The values are d
the camshaft, cylinder head, or oil pump if greater than the
specified value.

18.000 – 18.025 mm (0.7087 – 0.7096 in)
Functional Limit
18.050 mm (0.7106 in)
Oil Clearance d - b: Standard Value
0.04 – 0.08 mm (0.0016 – 0.0031 in)
Functional Limit:
0.12 mm (0.0047 in)
If the oil clearance exceeds the functional limit,
replace the cylinder head, camshaft, or oil
pump, or all of them as a set, and check that the
clearance is within the specified range.
