24) Inspection of Oil Pump
1.
Use a micrometer, cylinder gauge, depth gauge, and
thickness gauge to measure the dimensions shown below.
Replace the oil pump if other than the specified value.
Functional Limit
Clearance between outer rotor and body a:
0.21 mm (0.0083 in)
Clearance between outer and inner rotors b:
0.16 mm (0.0063 in)
Clearance between sides of rotor and body c:
0.11 mm (0.0043 in) (including wear of oil pump cover)
Height of Outer Rotor d:
14.96 mm (0.5890 in)
Pump Body Inner Diameter e:
40.74 mm (1.6039 in)

Push the plunger piston and check that it moves smoothly.
If it cannot be pushed or does not return, replace the oil
pump.
