4.9.2 ProfiNet IO Connection
A ProfiNet IO module is installed in control units of the type SND40-(EC)-(MF)-PN.
The module is connected to the bus via RJ45 plug.

Connection to the ProfiNet bus may only be done by an electrician.

Note:
For use as ProfiNet IO cable a commonly used RJ45 Ethernet cable (Cat 5e) is
suitable.
For usage in severely interference loaded environs a separate shielding might be
required.

Addressing the ProfiNet module
The MAC-ID is hardware determined and
cannot be set.
It will be shown in the Hardware info
section of the SND40.
The SND40 can be identified at the
machine control via this MAC-ID.
