COOLING WATER DE- -AERATION
Before starting work, consult:
-- chapter 2, "BACKGROUND INFORMATION".
Cooling water de--aeration on the engine takes place via the highest points of the cooling
water system. Orifices are provided in the de--aeration connections.
These orifices must be checked periodically.
1. Drain the cooling water expansion tank.
2. Clean the expansion tank internally.
3. Loosen the connections of the de--aeration lines on the de--aeration points.
4. Check whether the orifices are open (diameter orifice openings 3 mm.).
5. Check whether the lines to and from the expansion tank are not clogged.
6. Connect the de--aeration lines correctly to the de--aeration points.
Attention!
In case the cooling water system is equipped with an automatic de--aeration de-
vice, it must be removed, cleaned, and checked on good working and then re--
fitted.
7. Refill the cooling water expansion tank to the required level.
