INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES
o Check the governor and fuel rack linkage and keep it running easily.
6D o Clean the centrifugal by--pass lubricating oil filter and renew the insert filter paper
;
6E o Check the working of the inlet valve seat lubrication visually.
7B o Check the fluid level and the concentrations of the cooling water inhibitors.
SSMo Clean the air inlet filter ;
8C o Check if both water condensate drains in the air inlet casing are open ;
8D o Clean the turbocharger on the compressor side by means of water injection.
10--o Check if the alarm system is engaged and check the working of the alarm system;
10--o Check the overspeed device by using the test key.
o Check the outside of the engine for leakages ;
4A o Keep the observation lists up to date and check for deviations ;
o Check the fluid levels ;
o Check the working of pressure gauges and thermometers visually ;
6C o Check the pressure difference of the lubricating oil filter, renew the filter elements
if the difference is too high ;
o Drain any impurities and water condensate from the day tank ;
o Drain water condensate from the air bottles ;
o Drain water condensate from the filter--water separator of the stopping device.
