STARTING AIR VALVE

STARTING AIR VALVE
Before starting work, please consult:
-- chapter 2, "BACKGROUND INFORMATION" ;
-- chapter 3, "TECHNICAL DATA".
Before removing the starting air valve, the cylinder
head has to be removed., see chapter 18B.
1. 1. Remove plunger housing (A) with plunger
(B).
1. 2. Remove plug (C) by heating (loctite joint)
and by means of a screwdriver (threaded
joint).
1. 3. Force plunger (D) down in order remove the
valve keepers (E).
1. 4. Remove spring (F) and starting valve (G).
1. 5. Remove connecting piece (H) from cylinder
head.
2. 1. Clean and inspect all parts thoroughly.
Lubricate the plungers with Molycote G.N.
2. 2. Fit connecting piece (H) with a new O--rings.
2. 3. Fit starting valve (G), spring (F) and plunger
(D) with a new O--ring.
2. 4. Fit the valve keepers (E).
2. 5. Fit plug (C) with a screwdriver and secure it
with Loctite.
2. 6. Fit plunger housing (A) with plunger (B) with
new O--rings.
