INSPECTIONS, MOMENT OF INJECTION
The "dummy" consists of a teflon model with the same dimensions as the constant
pressure valve, sealed by an O--ring or an old constant pressure valve with the inside
valves and springs removed.
TEFLON "DUMMY"
Examine the fuel control system for :
--
Smooth operation of the mechanism.
--
Rust and other deposits on the fuel pump control rods.
--
Wear and / or fracture of the fuel control return spring.
--
Wear and / or fracture of the springs between fuel pump control rods and
common fuel control shaft.
--
Proper condition of the pivoted joints and the linkage at the governor.
Lubricate the fuel pump control rods, pivoted joints, guide rollers, and common fuel
control
shaft
with
oil.
