LUBRICATING OIL FILTER

LUBRICATING OIL FILTER
The lubricating oil is filtered before it enters the engine.
The lubricating oil filter has four filter compartments. The filter compartments are
connected in pairs. Two of the four compartments are always in use.
The magnetic core of the filter, and the element are both attached to the cover, so that
these can be withdrawn together.
Filter elements may not be cleaned, but must always be renewed.
During operation compartments can be changed over by means of a change--over
valve and the lubricating oil of the non--active compartment can run freely to the engine
sump.
The lubricating oil filter comes with a built--on differential pressure indicator as
standard.
As soon as the differential pressure indicator indicates that the active filter
compartments are fouled, renew all dirty filter elements. For correct indication the
lubricating oil temperature must be more than 50GC.
When the change--over valve handle is positioned as below, the right hand filters (CC)
are in operation, and the left hand filters can be renewed. When the change--over valve
handle is over to the left, the left hand filters (BB) are in use, and the right hand filters
can be renewed.
The control plug (A) securing the lids, leaks if the working filter is accidentally opened.
