In some cases a functional test has to be carried out after engine trial and/or the run-
ning--in programme or total overhaul.
The functional test consists of:
-- starting the engine ;
-- increasing of load to minimum 80% of the stated load value ;
-- filling in the observation list (section 4A) as soon as the engine temperatures
are stable ;
-- comparing the values of the observation list with the values of the test report
and/or values of commissioning.
