Before starting work, please consult:
-- chapter 2, "BACKGROUND INFORMATION" ;
-- chapter 3, "TECHNICAL DATA".
If the copper ring in the nozzle holder sleeve is jammed, it can be removed with a boring
tool, tool E. Boring may be effected with the aid of stop nuts, adjusted to the correct
dimensions beforehand.
During the boring operation the tool must be lubricated with grease at regular intervals.
Each time the tool is withdrawn the cuttings will remain trapped in the grease.
Always remove these cuttings before applying the tool again.
If, during the boring operation, the copper ring is found to rotate, a light tap on the top
end will be sufficient to make the tool penetrate the material, after which the ring should
be bored out without difficulty.
1. Fit the high pressure fuel line in to the nozzle holder so that the high pressure fuel
line runs parallel to the nozzle holders cylindrical part.
2. Tighten the union nut of the high pressure fuel line to the torque specified in the
Technical Data.
3. Fit the nozzle holder with a new copper sealing ring and O--ring in top. Place the
nozzle holder in the bush. Make sure the cone of the high pressure fuel line
engages fully with the fuel pump connecting.
4. Tighten the other union nut to the same torque.
5. Tighten the nut on the nozzle holder clamp to the torque specified in Technical
Data.
