LUBRICATING OIL FILTER
Open only filter compartments that are not in use!
2. 1. Clean the upper surface of the filter housing and
the filter covers, so that no dirt can fall into the
compartments during removal.
2. 2. If you have to change the oil circuit,wait some time
to allow the oil pressure and the lubricating oil level
in the non--active filter compartments to drain
sufficiently.
2. 3. Remove the filter covers, complete with the filter
elements, from the compartments (that are not
active).
2. 4. Cover the open filter compartments.
2. 5. Remove the dirty filter elements from the filter
covers.
2. 6. Inspect the magnetic cores and the insides of the
filter elements for dirt and metallic particles that
may give an indication of abnormal wear of engine
parts.

3. 1. Carefully clean the filter cover and the magnetic
core and remove the used rubber rings.
3. 2. The outside of the filter element is the "clean oil side", so be sure to keep it
clean during assembly.
3. 3. Check whether the seat edges of the filter housing and the filter cover are
clean, and fit new rubber rings A, B and C.
3. 4. Place the new filter element on rubber ring B and fit nut D, together with a
washer.
Tighten nut D until the filter element can just be turned manually.
3. 5. Make a mark on the nut and the filter element and then tighten the nut by one
full turn.
3. 6. Place the new filter unit back into the filter housing; use a plastic hammer or
light blows with the hand to position it correctly. Tighten the nuts crosswise
and uniformly, using normal spanner force.
