FUEL FILTER ELEMENT

FUEL FILTER ELEMENT
Before starting work, consult:
-- chapter 2, "BACKGROUND INFORMATION".
The fuel filter consists of two compartments, each having one filter element.
The fuel filter has a 3--way cock permitting change--over during operation and the
fouled filter to be renewed.
Only open the inactive filter compartment!
2. 1. Disengage the filter compartment with the fouled filter element.
The 3--way cock shows which filter compartment is active/inactive.
2. 2. Slacken the locking nut of vent screw A and open this screw.
2. 3. Drain the filter compartment by unscrewing drain plug B or the correspon-
ding plug in the drain line.
2. 4. Disconnect the vent line from the filter cover.
2. 5. Remove bolt C together with ring, filter cover and O--ring.
2. 6. Remove the filter element.
