ENCODER PULSE
The encoder pulse must be set in accordance with the encoder being used and it's
specifications. The Olympus EP4/ENC Encoder Buggy is always set to
1.97 pulses/mm or 50 pulses/in..
TAKE READING EVERY
This indicates the spacing between measurements. There is fixed spacing based
on the number of pulses per inch or per millimeter of the encoder.
NOTE
The smaller the spacing, the slower the maximum scan speed. Maximum scanning
speed can be calculated as follows:

Maximum reading spacing is 595.38 mm (25 in.)
Maximum B-scan distance is also dependent on the reading spacing setting. The
