Example signal flow in a 3-M/E system
The following diagram shows an example of the signal flow in a 3-M/E
system, with the output from the M/E-3 bank set up to be the switcher
program output.
a) When no downstream keyer is installed, the M/E-3 output becomes the
system program output.
b) The downstream keyer is controlled from the downstream keyer control unit
installed in the control panel (the BKDS-7032 option).

Signal Selection

Pressing a cross-point button selects a signal on the corresponding bus, but in
some cases a single row of cross-point buttons is used for more than one bus.
In this case it is first necessary to delegate the row of cross-point buttons to
the required bus. The next section describes which rows of cross-point
buttons belong to which buses.
For details of the assignment of signals to cross-point button columns, see
the next page.
