cross-point button (XPT ASSIGN menu)

Chapter 14 Setup
You can use the XPT ASSIGN menu for the following settings.
• Input signal assignment: Select the input signal which you wish to assign
to the selected cross-point button number. You can assign two signals, a
video source and a key source to a cross-point button. The set of two
signals is also used for the AUTO SELECT function.
And the video source signal and the key source signal are treated as a
4:2:2 format signal (LINK A) and a 0:2:2 format signal (LINK B) to be
combined as a 4:4:4 fomat signal and used as a chroma key foreground
signal.
• Allocating a name to an input signal: You can allocate a name of up to
eight alphanumeric characters to the signal assigned to a cross-point
button. (If the name has more than four characters, the first two and last
two appear in the source name indications on the control panel.)
Relationship between input signals assigned to cross-point
buttons and buses
The input signals assigned to cross-point buttons can be separated into three
groups, according to which buses they can be selected on.

a) Can only be selected when assigned as VIDEO SOURCE in the XPT menu. When
assigned as KEY SOURCE, you can select from the M/E KEY1 SOURCE or KEY2
SOURCE bus, the DSK1 to DSK4 KEY SOURCE buses, the AUX1 to AUX8 buses, the
EDIT PVW bus, and the FM1 and FM2 buses.
b) On the AUX 9 to AUX 28 buses, you can not select any switcher internal signal other
than M/E-1 PGM, M/E-2 PGM, M/E-2 PGM, and PGM.
