Press F2 (TYPE) to select the type of link.
OFF: No operation.
BUS: Link two buses.
GPI: Link a button on the control panel to a GPI output port.
• When you select "BUS", proceed to step 5.
• If you select "GPI", continue with the procedure in the next section,
"Linking a button to a GPI output port".

Press F9 (MASTER/LINK) to set F9 to "MASTER".
The indication for F10 changes to "MASTER SELECT".

Press F10 (MASTER SELECT) or turn control knob 3 to align the cursor
with the bus you wish to select as the master.
This selects the bus with which the cursor is aligned as the master bus.

Press F9 (MASTER/LINK) to set F9 to "LINK".
The indication for F10 changes to "LINK SELECT".

Press F10 (LINK SELECT) or turn control knob 3 to align the cursor
with the bus you wish to link to the master bus selected in step 6, then
press F8 (SELECT).
This confirms the selection of the bus with which the cursor is aligned.

Press F5 (AUTOSEL) to select "KEY" or one of the five "auto select
tables" in which are set the correspondences of cross-point buttons
between the two buses.
When KEY is selected, the MASTER bus is used for video level and the
LINK bus, for key level. The combination of video level and key level is
as set in the XPT ASSIGN menu.
Note that key level cannot be used when one of the "auto select tables" is
selected. In this case, the MASTER and LINK buses are both used for
video level.
To change the auto select table setting, proceed to step 10.
