Cause
Motor is turning faster than
highest allowed speed due to
incorrectly set
minimum/maximum speed,
insufficient braking torque or
changes in load when using
torque reference.
Incorrect estimated speed.
Internal fault.
Encoder feedback fault.
90.45
Speed feedback configuration
incorrect.
No load feedback received.
90.55
0001 Load gear definition invalid or
outside limits.
0002 Feed constant definition invalid
or outside limits.
0003 Motor/load gear definition
invalid or outside limits.
0004 Encoder not configured.
0005 Encoder stopped working.
Emergency stop did not finish
within expected time.
What to do

Check adequacy of motor braking torque.
Check applicability of torque control.
Check need for brake chopper and
resistor(s).
Check the status of motor current
measurement.

(page 502).
Check the auxiliary code (format XXYY
ZZZZ). "XX" specifies the number of the
encoder interface module (01:
91.11/91.12, 02: 91.13/91.14), "YY"
specifies the encoder (01:
configuration, 02:
93 Encoder 2
configuration). "ZZZZ" indicates the
problem (see actions for each code
below).
Check load gear settings
(90.53
90.54).
Check feed constant settings
90.64).
Check motor/load gear settings
and 90.62).
Check encoder settings
(92 Encoder 1
configuration
or
93 Encoder 2
configuration).
Use parameter

settings.
Check encoder status.
