Description
Selects the type of the motor identification routine (ID run)
performed at the next start of the drive. During the ID run, the
drive will identify the characteristics of the motor for optimum
motor control.
If no ID run has been performed yet (or if default parameter
values have been restored using parameter
restore), this parameter is automatically set to Standstill,
signifying that an ID run must be performed.
After the ID run, the drive stops and this parameter is
automatically set to None.
Notes:
• For the
Advanced
ID run, the machinery must always be
de-coupled from the motor.
• Before activating the ID run, configure motor temperature
measurement (if used) in parameter group
thermal
protection, and in parameter 97.15.
• If a sine filter is installed, set the appropriate bit in
parameter
95.15 Special HW settings
ID run. With a non-ABB (custom) filter, set also
99.19.
• With scalar control mode
Scalar), the ID run is not requested automatically. However,
an ID run can be performed for more accurate torque
estimation.
• Once the ID run is activated, it can be canceled by stopping
the drive.
• The ID run must be performed every time any of the motor
parameters (99.04, 99.06...99.12) have been changed.
• Ensure that the Safe torque off and emergency stop circuits
(if any) are closed during the ID run.
• Mechanical brake (if present) is not opened by the logic for
the ID run.
• This parameter cannot be changed while the drive is
running.
No motor ID run is requested. This mode can be selected only
if the ID run (Normal, Reduced, Standstill, Advanced,
Advanced
Standstill) has already been performed once.
Normal ID run. Guarantees good control accuracy for all
cases. The ID run takes about 90 seconds. This mode should
be selected whenever it is possible.
Notes:
• If the load torque will be higher than 20% of motor nominal
torque, or if the machinery is not able to withstand the
nominal torque transient during the ID run, then the driven
machinery must be de-coupled from the motor during a
Normal ID run.
• Check the direction of rotation of the motor before starting
the ID run. During the run, the motor will rotate in the
forward direction.
WARNING! The motor will run at up to approximately
50...100% of the nominal speed during the ID run.
ENSURE THAT IT IS SAFE TO RUN THE MOTOR
BEFORE PERFORMING THE ID RUN!
