The basic shelf is partitioned among the following slot types as shown in Figure 8.:
1. Port slots :
The port slot is compatible with "full", "half", "normal" & "small" card sizes. Port slots are compatible as
well with "Double full" and "Double Normal" card size.
2. Matrix slots :
The 7TE slot -is a dedicated slot hosting the matrix board.
3. Control and common parts slots :
The 5TE slot hosting "Equipment Controller" (EC320) also called First Level Controller in the following,
"Power Supply Filter" (POW320) and "Service" (SERV320). the last is not available in current release.
