3.2.3.3 Back-to-back terminal (Hub)
The Back-to-back terminal (Hub) is able to add and drop all the traffic (wavelengths) to/from the CWDM
aggregate signal, in both directions (east/west). There is no pass-through channels.
It is built up on two specular Line Terminal configurations.
The Hub takes place as linear add and drop multiplexer in point-to-point links and ring networks.
This configuration allows the Sub-Network Connection Protection of all the channels.
CMDX1 and CMDX2 mux/demux boards, are available in case of 1-channel and 2-channel CWDM lines
are required.
The Back-to-back terminal is made up of:
Colored boards (SDH/SONET, DATA)
two CMDX boards (mux/demux), one per direction.
