3.2.3 CWDM transmission architecture

The WDM system of the 1850 TSS-320 equipment (CWDM in current release), allows the following basic
configurations:
Line Terminal (LT)
Optical Add and Drop Multiplexer (OADM)
Back-to-back terminal (Hub).
In the following Figure 35.:
CB stands for colored board. There are SDH/SONET and DATA boards provided with colored optics.
CMDX stands for Channel Mux/DemuX, providing Line Terminal and Back-to-back terminal (Hub)
configurations. There are 1-channel, 2-channel and 8-channel mux/demux
CADM stands for Channel Add/Drop Multiplexer, providing OADM configurations. There are 1-
channel, 2-channel and 4-channel OADM
