This section describes the capabilities of the 1850 TSS-320 equipment to manage packet based traffic.
Pure packet based traffic and interworking between TDM and packets are as well managed.

Two different boards are foreseen in order to manage data traffic:
16XGE PACKET MODULE (not available in current release) (see 3.4.5.1 on page 89 for details),
providing:
ethernet bridging functionalities for customer traffic collection on SVLAN base;
access/collection of customer traffic (UNI interfaces) aggregated in MPLS pipes (PW LSPs or
TUNNELs) in cooperation with 20G PACKET PROCESSOR boards.
