Different PDH electrical unit are present providing the following functionality:

Logical/Physical PDH transport and adaptation

PDH mapping

Path termination
The signals managed on port cards are:

63 x E1 PDH port card for balanced and unbalanced interfaces

24 x E3 PDH traffic card for balanced and unbalanced interfaces
– SDH port
The units provide the following functionality:

Logical/Physical transport and adaptation
–
POM
–
TCT/TCM
–
SUT/SUM
–
OH add/drop
–
DCC add/drop
Each unit can be configured by Craft Terminal in order to manage SDH signals.
Different boards are available as:

1 x XFP(E) STM-64 port card; this unit needs to be equipped with a XFP adapter and the relevant
XFP module.

4 x SFP STM-16 port card; the unit require SFP modules
–
8 x SFP STM-4(1) port card; the unit require SFP modules
– SDH adapter (LOA) (not available in current release)
Lower Order 10Gbit LPC Adapter Card providing connection to LPC and LOA support
– 16XGE PACKET MODULE port (not available in current release)
