1 Install a new EP Cartridge, and check if Code J5 reappears.
Y:
Go to step 2.
N: Correction completed.
2 The Toner Sensor Assembly is functioning properly.
NOTE: Open the Front Cover and actuate the Front Cover interlock switch. Inspect the above by
removing and installing the EP Cartridge in the Diagnostic Mode 1, Input Sensor Tray. To Perform
this analysis, disconnect P/J12, P/J15 , and P/J18 from the Print Engine Controller.
Y:
Replace the Print Engine Controller.
N: Go to RAP 7.4.21 Toner Sensor Assembly Failure.
