7.4.16 MBF Tray Paper Handling Solenoid Failure

1 There is +24VDC between P/J27-5 and P/J17-2 on the LVPS.
Y: Go to step 2.
N: Go to RAP 7.4.7 Low Voltage Power Supply (LVPS) Assembly Failure (+24VDC).
NOTE: Disconnect P/J15 from the Print Engine Controller and perform the analysis.
2 In standby, there is +24VDC between P/J134-2 and P/J17-2.
Y: Go to step 3.
N: Replace the Feed Harness (P/J27 to P/J134).
3 In standby, there is +24VDC between P/J134-1 and P/J17-2.
Y: Go to step 4.
N: Replace the MBF Tray Feed Solenoid.
4 In standby, there is +24VDC between P/J27-6 and P/J17-2.
Y: Go to step 5.
N: Replace the Feeder Harness (P/J27 to P/J134).
5 In standby, there is +24VDC between P/J11-4 and P/J17-2.
Y: Go to step 6.
N: Replace the LVPS.
6 In standby, there is +24VDC between P/J13-10 and P/J17-2.
Y: Go to step 7.
N: Replace the LVPS Harness.
7 The voltage between P/J27-6 and P/J17-2 is 0VDC when the MBF Tray Solenoid is actuated,
and the voltage is 0VDC when deactuated.
Y: Replace the Paper Handling Solenoid Assembly.
N: Replace the Print Engine Controller.
NOTE: You can inspect this while performing Diagnostic Mode 1, MBF Solenoid. Disconnect P/J15 from
the Print Engine Controller to perform the analysis.
