Power Supply and Electrical Components: Before starting any service procedure, switch off the printer power and unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. If you must service the printer with power applied, be aware of the potential for electrical shock. Do not touch any electrical component unless you are instructed to do so by a service procedure.

Fuser Components WARNING: This printer uses heat to fuse the toner image to a sheet of paper. The Fuser Assembly is very hot. Switch off printer power and wait at least 30 minutes for the Fuser to cool before you attempt to service the Fuser Assembly or adjacent components.

General Information The DocuPrint N4525 Service Manual is the primary document used for repairing and ® maintaining the DocuPrint N4525 Network Laser Printer. ® To ensure complete understanding of the product, participation in Xerox DocuPrint N4525 service training is recommended.

Print Media Storing paper Store the paper on a flat surface, in a relatively low-humidity environment. Avoid storing paper in such a way as to cause wrinkling, bending, curling, etc. Do not unwrap paper until you are ready to use it, and rewrap any paper you are not using.

Error Codes and Messages Error messages The Control Panel displays error codes when it encounters certain system failures or anomalies otherwise undetected by the user. Maintenance and Cleaning Scheduled Maintenance The DocuPrint N4525 is designed and tested to require little maintenance. A User Maintenance Kit (P/N 109R00048 for 110 volt printer and 109R00049 for 220 volt printers) contains: Replacement Fuser Bias Transfer Roller Feed Rollers (15 ea. - three for each paper input Bin) Rubber gloves for handling Feed and Bias Transfer rollers Cleaning cloth.
