Administrative Commands

exec

To execute a file in the config file system on your Server Switch, enter the exec command in Privileged
Exec mode.
Syntax Description
file-name
Defaults
This command has no default settings.
Command Modes
Privileged Execute mode.
Usage Guidelines
Platform Availability:
Cisco SFS 3001, Cisco SFS 7000, Cisco SFS 7008, Cisco SFS 3012, Cisco 4x InfiniBand Switch Module
for IBM BladeCenter
Privilege Level:
Unrestricted read-write user.
You can create command files on a management workstation and copy them to config file system on the
switch using copy command. Then you can execute these files with exec command. Use the save-log
command to save the latest commands that you have executed in the CLI to a file, then copy the file to
the management station and use it as an example. See the save-log and copy commands for further
details.
You can run files only from the config directory of your file system.

Examples
The following example executes the test.cfg file in the config file system on the Server Switch:
SFS-7000P# exec test.cfg
