Diagnostics and Troubleshooting
General Troubleshooting Hints
If any or all of the above listed actions do not occur, there may be a problem
with your instrument. Refer to Table 36 through Table 41 for further
troubleshooting information.
Power Switch LED Off — Front Panel LED Off
Possible Causes
Instrument power disconnected.
Overcurrent or overvoltage condition. Spring
below optical unit may be bent. This may
result in a short circuit on the SDA board.
Overcurrent or overvoltage condition.
Electronics failure.
Main power supply (MPS) defective.
Power Switch LED Off — Front Panel LED On
Possible Cause
LED in main power supply (MPS) defective.
Power Switch LED On — Front Panel LED Off — Shutter Clicks
Possible Causes
Front panel keyboard (SSI board)
disconnected or cable defective.
Front panel keyboard (SSI board) defective.
Action
Connect instrument to power.
Remove optical unit. Bend spring back and
turn instrument off and on again to reset
main power supply.
Turn instrument off and on again to reset
main power supply. If the error condition
remains, disconnect internal boards one by
one, repetitively turning the instrument off
and on, to find the defective board.
Replace main power supply (MPS).
Action
Replace main power supply (MPS).
Action
Reconnect or replace cable.
Replace front panel keyboard (SSI board).
