Adjusting the rear valve clearance

Remove special tool
Crank the engine several times. Check the valve clearance and correct it if neces-
sary.
Remove special tool

Plug, crankshaft retainer

Mount and tighten the screw of generator cover

Screw in generator cover

Mount and tighten the spark plug using a special tool.
Spark plug wrench (75029172000) (
Position the valve cover seal.
Info
The rear valve cover is equipped with a connector for the engine vent.
The front valve cover is not equipped with a connector for the engine vent.
Position the valve cover with the seal. Mount and tighten screws

Screw, valve cover
Mount the ignition coil.
Attach connector
Repeat these steps on the second cylinder.
Install the filter box bottom. (
Install the side covers. (

Remove the rear camshaft. (
Raise cam lever
Remove shims
Correct and insert the shims as indicated by the results of the valve clearance
check.
Install the rear camshaft. (
