Remove the screws and take off bearing shell bracket

Mark joint

Place the engine case section on special tool

Place special tool
the inside to the outside.
Press drift/press sleeve (61229044000) (

Select the main bearing shells. (

Center the new main bearing shells

Place the inside of the engine case section on special tool
Press sleeve (61229045000) (

Align the face of the new bearing shell with the marking made when it was disas-
sembled.

Press the bearing shells with the stepped side of special tool
sleeve
from the outside to the inside, all the way to the stop.
