of the MODE[3:0] pins at release of RESET. By this SYSPINMUX.PINMUX[3:0] are
predefined at system start-up.
SYSPINMUX.PINMUX[3:0] select one out of six pinout options according to
following table:

Throughout this document the above option numbers are used as a reference to
the chosen pinout option.
SMUXm pin multiplexers control
The additional SMUX multiplexers are controlled by the SYSPINMUX.SMUXm bits
and provide for pinout option numbers 6 and 7 additional pinout options by routing
dedicated signals to external pins. The additional pinout options are indicated by
lower case alphanumeric characters, appended to the option numbers 6 and 7.
That results in options 6a, 6b and 7a to 7e.
Setting SYSPINMUX.SMUXm = 1 outputs a dedicated signal at pin m instead of
the signal from the pin multiplexer, thus overruling the multiplexing via PINMUX
[3:0].
